Gutman teaches courses in the history of architectural history, urban history, children's spaces, architectural theory, and gender . She co-edits Buildings & Landscapes: Journal of the Vernacular Architecture Forum and is a member of the founding editorial board for the Oxford Online Bibliography in Childhood Studies.
